On our second and third day we visited Beatric Potter's Hill Top residence which was perhaps one of the most interesting visits of all the tourist attractions we saw during our Lake District tour. The history surrounding this world famous author is amazing, she really had an enormous influence on children's literature and continues to entertain generations after her death. Hill Top is on the south western side of Lake Windermere.
